2026 Solo, Duo & Graceful Expressions of Interest
Details
Event information
Dear Fraser Coast Calisthenics Families,
It is that time of the year again where we start planning for the following Calisthenics year. The first part is for members to consider whether they would be interested in performing in a solo, duo or graceful item. We would like you to consider the following points below, when making your decision and then complete an expression of interest (on our website) by 27th July 2025.
You may choose to do an item competitively or recreational. Recreation pupils perform at our concert and may perform at eisteddfods.
Please note that Tinies who are performing in a competitive item can travel and perform at competitions, but they are not actually awarded places, they receive participation awards.
- Members considering applying must have undertaken Cali Skills to the required level. (Competitive only). Cali Skills exams cannot begin before the year a pupil turns 7.
- Parent/pupils must understand that training may be undertaken either on a weekend or weeknight: day and times to be confirmed.
- Preferences may be given for which item members would like to perform however the final decision will be that of the coach.
- The expression of interest does not guarantee selection for a S/D/G.
What cost is involved?
- You will be required to purchase a costume for your child's item; the coach will guide you with the selection. The price for this can range from approx. $80 to $250.
- The entries to each comp will be paid by parents; these can range from approx. $80 to $150 per item. If doing a duo these costs are split between both parents.
- Hall hire costs are the responsibility of the parents. This is currently priced at $13.00 per hour for Woocoo hall and if doing a duo this will be split between the two parents for each lesson.
- Coaching fees: your appointed coach will provide you with a cost structure before you commit to the season.
- Miscellaneous costs: travel to & from competitions, accommodation at competitions (if required). There are also optional extras, for example, backstage professional photography etc.
